Why do I see two charges for one order?

Seeing two amounts for a single order is almost always one of two things, and neither means you have been charged twice.

An authorisation plus a capture

When you check out we place an authorisation - a hold that reserves the funds. When the order ships we capture the real payment. For a short window both can appear in your online banking. The authorisation drops off on its own, usually within 24-72 hours depending on the bank.

A genuine duplicate

Occasionally a checkout retries after a network timeout and captures twice. The giveaway is two identical amounts posted within a minute or two of each other, with only one order in your account.

If that is what you are seeing, contact us with the order number and the last four digits of the card. We void or refund the duplicate the same day. Depending on your bank it either disappears as a released hold within 24 hours, or posts as a refund in 3-5 business days.

What we will never do is ask for your full card number over email or chat. We only ever need the last four digits.
